Rick Lamberson, MA, LMFT, LCAC           

Rick is a licensed therapist with over twenty years of experience helping individuals and couples lead happier and more effective lives. Rick is a graduate of Christian Theological Seminary, with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

In addition to individual and couple sessions, Rick also runs men’s therapy groups which meet weekly and conducts men’s anger workshops at least twice each year.  He offers workshops on a variety of topics, “Finding Our Fathers” -a workshop about men and their yearning for deeper connection to their fathers, “Understanding Sexual Addiction”-which includes a discussion about Internet sexual addiction, and "I Don't Want to Talk About It"-a discussion about men and depression. Divorce Recovery, Forgiveness, Parenting and Adoption, and Spirituality are also topics available for presentation.

Rick’s primary areas of expertise include treatment for depression and anxiety, couples counseling, men's issues, addiction-including alcohol and sexual, spirtual growth and professional/ career transition issues. Rick has training in a wide variety of topics. He is a graduate of the Indianapolis Gestalt Institute and has trained with the Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy in New York City.

Rick believes that therapy is a collaborative process and encourages clients to set goals and work toward greater fulfillment in life. He encourages questions and curiosity about the process of change and is actively engaged in his own continuing education and training.
